Quick Vanilla Sauce

A sweet sauce that's great on a yellow cake!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3 T flour, white
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 T butter
  • 2 T vanilla

Instructions

  • Add sugar, flour and salt to a medium saucepan.
  • Add 2 cups super hot water to the saucepan and stir, bring to a boil.
  • Cook, stirring continuously until sauce becomes thick.
  • Over sauce has thickened, remove from heat and stir in butter.
  • Serve hot over cake or cupboards.
